WASTE TRANSFER STATION
DESCRIPTION
The waste transfer station for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) operates seamlessly to manage the flow of waste from collection trucks to the landfill. The process kicks off as MSW is deposited onto the loading ramp (3) and into the loading hopper (4) by the waste collection truck, subsequently moving along the belt conveyor(1). The MSW undergoes effective shredding within the rotary screen (11), equipped with knives for bag opening, rendering it suitable for the ensuing manual separation.
Within the pick station (7), recyclables are skillfully separated from the remaining waste. The residual waste continues its journey via the conveyor (2), passing through a magnet (12) designed for metal separation. A suction basket (10) guides the metal waste to a container, while the remaining material is directed to the hopper (8) and further transported to a container (14) via the conveyor (2). Inside the container (14), a hydraulic press (13) efficiently compacts the waste for optimal space utilization.
Upon reaching full capacity, a truck with a hook lifts the container from the container positioning mechanism (9), facilitating its transport to the landfill. Parts of the transfer station for the purpose of servicing and monitoring work are approached by stairs (5) and paths (6) that ensure the safe and smooth work of the staff.
This dynamic waste transfer station streamlines the handling and processing of MSW, ensuring effective separation and disposal while maximizing operational efficiency.
