• A self-discharging drum magnetic separator is a type of separator designed for the continuous removal of magnetic particles from dry bulk materials. The design utilizes a rotating drum with permanent magnets or an electromagnetic system located on one side inside the drum. The bulk material is fed onto the rotating drum and the magnetic particles are attracted to its surface and sent for further processing or disposal. Due to the rotation and special profile, the magnetic particles are independently cleaned from the drum surface into the receiving hopper. This distinguishes them from non-automatic variants, where the magnetic fraction is cleaned manually.
